Case Converter

Paste your text and pick a format. The tool converts it instantly, from plain uppercase and lowercase to the naming styles programmers use, such as camelCase and snake_case. Everything happens in your browser.

Runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you enter is sent to a server.

How to use it

  1. Type or paste your text in the first box.
  2. Press the format you want. The result appears in the second box.
  3. Press Copy to take it with you, or pick another format to compare.

The formats

  • UPPERCASE and lowercase change every letter.
  • Title Case capitalizes the first letter of each word. It does not skip small words such as “of” or “the”.
  • Sentence case capitalizes the first letter of each sentence and makes the rest lowercase.
  • camelCase and PascalCase join the words without spaces and capitalize each new word, PascalCase also capitalizing the first.
  • snake_case, kebab-case and CONSTANT_CASE join the words with underscores or hyphens, the last one in capitals.
  • For the code formats, each line is converted on its own, and accents can be removed so the result is safe to use as a name.

Frequently asked questions

Is my text uploaded?
No. The conversion happens in your browser and nothing is sent or saved.
Does Title Case follow style guides?
No. It capitalizes every word. Style guides such as AP or Chicago keep small words like “a”, “of” and “the” in lowercase, so check those by hand when it matters.
Does it work with accents and other languages?
Yes. Letters with accents are converted correctly in uppercase and lowercase. Only the code formats can remove accents, and you can turn that off.
What happens to line breaks?
They are kept. The code formats treat each line as its own name, so a list of names stays a list.
