Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between margin and markup?
Margin divides the profit by the selling price. Markup divides it by the cost. For example, a 50% markup is a 33.3% margin.
Can the margin be 100%?
No. A 100% margin would mean the item cost nothing, so the margin is always below 100%. The markup, on the other hand, can be any number.
Does it include taxes and fees?
No. It only uses the cost and the price you enter. If marketplace fees, taxes or shipping apply, add them to your cost first.
