How to use it

  1. Type one name per line (at least 3 people).
  2. Optional: list pairs who should not draw each other, such as partners, as "Name - Name".
  3. Press Draw names.
  4. Pass the device around: each person taps their name, reads who they give a gift to, then hides the screen.

Frequently asked questions

Is the draw really random?
Yes. The tool shuffles the names in your browser and tries again until nobody draws themselves or a banned pair. If your rules make a valid draw impossible, it tells you.
Can the organizer see the results?
Only if they open the full list, which is hidden behind a button because it spoils the surprise. If you use the reveal buttons, each person sees only their own match.
Are the names sent anywhere?
No. Everything happens in your browser. Nothing is uploaded or saved, so closing the page erases the draw.
How many people can take part?
At least 3. There is no fixed upper limit, but very strict exclusion rules can make a draw impossible.
